CONTEXT
A neighborhood with deep cultural roots like Prosperidad (Madrid), and a clear mission: to make it shine again, as it did in the days of the Ateneo, Morasol Hall, or Rock-Ola. To bring back that punk, fanzine-driven imaginary. A countercultural aesthetic updated for the present day, focused on representing urban art from its very origins.
I developed a visual system created directly from the neighborhood itself: tags, throw-ups, XXL outlines, high contrast, bold colors, textures, layers… and more layers.
It’s pure sampling, in the most hip-hop sense of the word: taking real fragments from the street and turning them into a new visual language. From this raw material, the compositions, color palette, and typographic style were built.
A fun and energetic process that succeeds in unifying its aesthetic plurality into avant-garde, powerful visuals with a strong attitude, reclaiming the right to experience art on every corner of Prosperidad.
