CONTEXT
Prison and being deprived of liberty require adaptation to the environment and to the new situation, leading to re-socialisation. This phenomenon, which involves a whole psychological process that marks the person forever, long after they have served their sentence, is called prisionalisation.
Something that usually seems distant and abstract to the vast majority, today, thanks to the COVID 19 pandemic, can be something interesting and everyday. For this reason, ADAPTATIVE DISORDER is a necessary project that tells us about the traumatic adaptation to an oppressive environment.
We will enter into the work in a progressive way, living step by step the transformation in an artistic, conceptual and implicit way, connecting with the journey of a prisoner through an experience as universal as it is deep, divided into 5 phases: anxiety, depersonalisation, loss of intimacy, low self-esteem, lack of control over one's own life.
